Procedure.
This solution addresses the needs of the State Government to adopt a hybrid collection model to receive payments via multiple channels. Despite the use of the State’s current system that already adopts multiple payment Channels, ERCAS provides a whole lot of value added services to what the state already has.
The process flow:
ONLINE MODE
• A debit card is used by the taxpayer
• The taxpayer (cardholder) keys in requisite tax payment information such as
• Tax Identification Number
• Levy/Tax/Fee Item
• Amount Paid
• Period of payment
• Taxpayers Account is debited through quick teller services
• A receipt is printed with payment details
• State government’s account is credited through NIBSS e-bills settlement
• Reports can be viewed on Ercas platform
OFFLINE MODE
• Agent pre-funds terminals with value (funding can be sponsored by the bank/SG tax consultant)
• Cash is paid by the taxpayer
• Tax payer keys in requisite payment information such as
• Tax Identification Number
• Levy/Tax/Fee Item
• Amount Paid
• Period of payment etc.
• POS wallet is debited through retailpay when network is available
• A receipt is printed with payment details
• Tax agent returns with actual cash collected to refund wallet
• Collections account is credited through e-bills settlement
• Reports can be viewed on Ercas platform
